Hot Slit Plastics Bending

Hot slit bending (also called hot wire bending or strip heating) is a technique for creating precise bends in thermoplastic sheets. A heated element softens the plastic along a narrow line, allowing it to be folded to the desired angle. This produces clean, sharp bends without cracking or distortion.

Combined with CO2 laser cutting, hot slit bending enables complete plastic part fabrication — from flat sheet to finished 3D enclosure — ideal for display cases, covers, guards, and custom housings.
